Peter Kropotkin (1842-1921) was a Russian anarchist, geographer, and biologist whose contributions to political thought and natural science significantly shaped modern anarchism. Born into an aristocratic family, Kropotkin's early life was marked by a passion for science and social justice, leading him to advocate for mutual aid as a basis for societal organization. His seminal works, such as "Mutual Aid: A Factor of Evolution," argue for cooperation over competition in nature and human society, influencing generations of activists and thinkers around the world.
