"My inbox is now bulging with touching emails from young women scientists who have been kind enough to write and thank me for inspiring them and helping them on their way. It has also been of great comfort to me to see many women at the top of science testifying for my record in supporting women scientists."

Quotes by Tim Hunt
Sir Tim Hunt is a distinguished British biochemist, renowned for his groundbreaking discoveries in cell cycle regulation, which earned him the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2001 alongside Leland Hartwell and Paul Nurse. Born on February 19, 1943, in Neston, England, Hunt’s research primarily focused on cyclins—proteins that control the cell cycle. Beyond his scientific contributions, he sparked significant debates on gender in science after controversial comments in 2015, which ultimately led to both criticism and a broader dialogue on women in STEM fields.
